Abstract
Urethra infection is the one caused by aerobic bacteria from intestine flora. One microorganism that can result in urethra infectionis Pseudomonas sp. This research aims to find out the sensitivity pattern of amoxicilin clavulanat acid, ceftriaxon, tobramycin, and imipenem antibiotics against the Pseudomonas sp resulted from urine isolation of urethra infection in Surakarta PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in March-April 2013. The urine sample of patients was cultured using Psudomonas Selective Agar (PSA) media. The colony was identified for Pseudomonas sp. Pseudomonas spbacteriumastested bacterium on amoxicilin clavulanat acid 20 µg, ceftriaxon 30 µg, tobramycin 10 µg and imipenem 10 µg was tested for their sensitivity according to Kirby-Baeur table using diffusion method. The result was analyzed using statistic test with T and Kruskal Wallis tests. The result of research showed that out of 30 sample patients with urethra infection 20 samples positively contained Pseudomonas sp and 10 samples did not contain Pseudomonas sp. The sensitivity pattern of Pseudomonas sp bacterium against amoxicilin clavulanat acid was 100% resistant. The sensitivity pattern against ceftriaxon antibiotic was 100% susceptible. The sensitivity pattern against imipenem antibiotic was 100% susceptible. Imipenem antibiotic had the most sensitive ability against Pseudomonas sp bacterium. Keywords: Urethra Infection, antibiotics, Pseudomonas sp, Surakarta PKU Muhammadiyah Hospita
