Abstract

It has been known that diabetes mellitus type 2 is a degenerative disease. Thus according to the theory, there is no cure for diabetes as before infected this disease. Therefore, the main purpose of diabetes mellitus treatment is to prolong life and improve the life quality of patients. This study aims to reveal the drug usage in the diabetes mellitus type 2 patients in The Outpatient Installation of Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Hospital, Klaten period of January 2011 based on a set. Purpose: to determine drug usagee in diabetes miletus type 2 in the Outpatient Installation of Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Hospital, Klaten Methods of study: This study was an observational study (nonexperimental) done retrospectivelly and dynamically by descriptive analysis method. Sample criteria was main diagnose of diabetes mellitus type 2 or comorbid, have medical records and using antidiabetic rugs. Results: The results showed the most antidiabetic drug usage widely were Sulfoniuria + Biguanid class were 47 people with percentages of 44.76%, among Sulfoniuria + α Biguanid glucoside inh were 39 people with percentages of 37.14%, for hypertension were Calcium antagonists/CCB group were 48 people with percentages of 44.87%, CCB + ARB were 27 people with percentages of 25.71%. The conclusion of antidiabetic and hypertension drug usage as well as the standard rules already set out in the Dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Hospital, Klaten and PERKENI 2006.
