Abstract

Factor that contributes to the organ that is the brain memory, on temporalis. For lobe increases the memory needed physical exercise, intellectual stimulus activity, specifically nutrition, regular exercise, and adequate rest in order to function optimally. Improved memory should be performed during development and growth of brain cells. Plants that have properties to improve memory than Gingko biloba is a herb pegagan (Centellaasiatica, [L.] Urban). Crop choice for herb pegagan is combined with wild ginger (Curcuma xanthorrhiza, Roxb) which have properties as an appetite enhancer and protector cells from damage oxidative. objective study to determine whether the combination of herb gotu kola extract and ginger rhizome extract in the form of instant preparation can improve memory and have different effects with varying doses. Strep through passive avoidance method using time difference of latency parameters pretest and posttest of the amount of time required mice to enter the dark compartment of the light compartment. Doses used are dose combination of instant preparation 10 g, 20 g and 30 g. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The test results showed a statistically significant difference from each test group where the dosage of 20 g showed good graphics and effects that increased cognitive memory.
