Abstract
Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure that settled over the agreed limit of normal, ie 90 mmHg diastolic or systolic 140 mmHg. Without treatment, hypertension contributed to the deaths of thousands of people because of concomitant illness are more dangerous, such as diabetes mellitus. This study aims to determine the use of antihypertensives in hypertensive patients with diabetes mellitus hospitalized in RSI Yarsis Surakarta in 2011 and 2012, seen from the type of antihypertensive used and the quantity of its use based on DDD and compliance with hospital formulary and JNC 7 guidelines. This study shows in 2011 with a number of 63 patients, the number of hospitalizations 354 days, and the average LOS 5 days, in 2012 the number of patients 54 to 314 the number of inpatient days, and the average LOS 6 days. Type of antihypertensive used is class ACEI, ARB, CCB, beta blockers, diuretics were then obtained DDD/100 biggest HR ie amlodipine, the calculation changed in form% then dikumulatifkan, will get 90% of data DU. Of the overall use of antihypertensive and formulary tailored to the JNC 7 guidelines. Results from this study is based on quantitative analysis method of ATC / DDD the most in 2011 was 24.09% amlodipine and amlodipine in 2012 was 31.8%. Antihypertensives were included in the DU 90% segment in 2011 was amlodipine, furosemide, irbesartan imidapril, captopril, ramipril, losartan, bisoprolol, telmisartan, whereas the 2012 is amlodipine, imidapril, ramipril, captopril, irbesartan, furosemide, HCT, ditiazem HCL. Patterns of antihypertensive use in RSI. Yarsis Surakarta in 2011 and 2012 has not changed. Based on the level of compliance with antihypertensive use hospital formulary of 100% and compliance with JNC 7 guidelines in 2011 was 92.85%, and in 2012 amounted to 86.67%.
