Abstract

Hospital pharmacy is one of the activities in hospital which support quality health services . Procurement is an important part in management and efficient drugs supply in every health institution including hospital. Efficiency analysis in procurement phase conducted to assess the extent of its effectiveness in the hospital. The purpose of this study was to measure the level of drug management efficiency in procurement phase in pharmacy department with efficiency indicators and compare the results to determine drug management inefficiencies which had occurred. This study was used descriptive analysis. Data were analyzed retrospectively and prospectively then conducted data analysis ot drug management in procurement phase using drug management efficiency indicators by Ministry of Health (2006) Pudjaningsih (1996). The results showed efficiency of drug management in procurement phase at Kalisat Hospital (RSD) in 2011 to 2012, were as follow : 1) drug procurement budget were 22.75 % and 22.35 %, not meet the standards of 40 -60 %. 2) comparison of expired drug value with stock opname were 2.23 % , and 0.84 % , not meet the standards of 0 %. 3) availability of drug were 39.17 days and 53.30 days meet the standard of 30 days. 4) capital and purchase were 71.71 %, and 73.26 %, not meet the standards of 100 %. 5) comparison of total drug items which planned and used were 101,83% and 105,17%, meet the standards of 100 %. 6) comparison of total drug items planned and used were 117% and 126,53 %, meet the standards of 100%. 7) frequency of drug procurement were 24.50 times and 27.50 times higher category > 24 times / year. 8) drug order letter with complete invoice were 2.51 % and 0.83 %, not meet standards of 0%. 9) frequency of delayed payments were 7 days already compliant to standard maximal of 24 days .
