Abstract
The pesticides used are expected to help farmers in get satisfying profit results. Becides it’s usefulness, pesticides with it’s chemical essence may cause some negative effect for the user’s health and organophosphate causes anemia due to decrease in Hb levels if it is not use properly. This study used an observational analytic research desain with cross sectional method. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data were collected by giving questionnare on farmers and blood sampling for checking hematology parameter using Hematology Analyzer. The number of samples in this study was 40 samples, consists of 20 samples farmers exposed to pesticide and 20 samples not exposed to pesticide. The data was analysis statistically used Independent Sample t-Test and Mann-Whitney. The results of this study is to showed that the farmers who have anemia consists of 25 % (5 people). The statistic results showed there are different Hb level (p=0,002), Hct level (p=0,008), eritrosit level (p=0,001) on farmers exposede pesticide. There are no different lekosit level (p=0,375) and trombosit level (p=0,074) in farmers exposed to pesticide and not exposed to pesticide. Keywords : pesticide, farmers, parameter of hematology
