Abstract

Helminthiasis is still a health problem in Indonesia. Helminthiasis that often infects humans is an intestinal nematodes type of Soil Transmitted Helminth. The transmission of Soil Transmitted Helminth can also be through animal feces containing eggs or worm larvae. This study aims to determine the relationship and the percentage incidence of infection Soil Transmitted Helminth on fertilizer makers in Jatirejo Village, Musuk District, Boyolali Regency. This type of research is observational analytic study with cross sectional study design. The samples of this research is 30 manure makers in Jatirejo village, disctrict of Musuk, Boyolali. This research is carried out by filling out the questionnaire and laboratory examinations to identify Soil Transmitted Helminth infections. Laboratory tests are carried out macroscopically and microscopically. Microscopic examination used two methods, namely the direct method and the indirect method (sedimentation method). Based on the results of research from 30 fecal samples of manure makers, it was shown that there were no makers of manure infected with Soil Transmitted Helminth with a percentage of 0%. From the data it can be concluded that there is no correlation between the incidences of Soil Transmitted Helminth infection at the manure maker.
