Abstract

Inpatient rooms include rooms that have the potential to spread nosocomial infections. Inpatient care is the health care of the hospital where the patient lives or stays based on a referral from the doctor to restore his health back. This study aims to determine the total plate number on the inpatient room floor at the hospital according to quality standards with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia concerning the environmental requirements of the Hospital and Identification of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Calculation of total plate numbers, identification of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa using the swab method. The sample is first swab using a cotton swab that has been dipped into the transfer medium NaCl physiological. Then the sample is taken to the laboratory diluted and identified. The results of this study show that there are differences in the number of germs in VIP and Class III treatment rooms. There is Staphylococcus aureus in the treatment room and there is no Pseudomonas aeruginosa in all facilities in the treatment room. The percentage of inpatient germ floor numbers in Surakarta RSJD shows that in the sample floor VIP Room No.1 and No.2 only 4% and VIP No.3 12%. VIP Room No.1 and VIP No.2 there are no patients while VIP No.3 has 1 patient and 2 waiters from the patient's family in the room. Class III Gatot glass 56% and Class III Drupadi 24%. From the above data it can be concluded that the average highest percentage of total plate numbers is in Class III of Gatot Kaca.
