Abstract

Hepatitis B is a inflammatory process in the liver caused by bacteria, viruses, autoimmune processes, drugs, fatty acids, alcohol and other harmful substances. The way to prevent hepatitis B infection is vaccination. Alcohol drinkers and obesity are factors that can affect vaccination status. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of drinker alcohol status and obesity status with anti HBs status after hepatitis B vaccination in D-IV Health Analyst Study. This study used descriptive design. The sample used was serum from 30 students. The data of this research were gained from the questionnaire and the measurement of anti HBs titers was carried out by the method of ECLIA. The relationship between drinking alcohol status and obesity status with anti HBs status after hepatitis B vaccination was analyzed by Chi-Square test with significance level ( α = 0.05). The results of Chi-Square test for the relationship of drinking alcohol status with anti HBs status after vaccination obtained p = 0.454 (p≥0.05) and chi-square test results for the relationship of obesity status with anti HBs status after vaccination obtained p = 0.538 (p ≥ 0.05). in conclusion, there is no correlation between drinking alcohol status and obesity status with anti HBs status after hepatitis B vaccination in D-IV Health Analyst Study.
