Abstract
In the prosess of hemodialysis, blood flow outside the body. In the situation of blood coagulation system with the result of blood clots. Patients with chronic kidney disease have a risk of blood loss in the hemodialysis process. Platelets have an important role in hemostasis, namely the formation and stabilization of platelet plugs. Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) is a marker of platelet function and is associated with the indicator of platelet activity. Platelet Distribution Width (PDW) measure the variation in platelet size circulating in peripheral blood. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference of PDW, MPV and platelet counts of patients with chronic renal failure in pre and post hemodialysis in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. The type of this research is analytic. This research was conducted in RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta, in March 2019-June 2019. The population of this study were 105 patients with chronic renal failure who underwent hemodialysis. The results that have been obtained are statistically tested using the Kolmogorov Smirnov method then proceed with a different test namely Wilcoxon Based on the results of the study obtained from 105 patient data with statistical tests showed that the variable PDW value, MPV and platelet counts of CRF patients in pre and post hemodialysis had significant difference value, with pvalue 0.000.
