Abstract
Kefir is a fermented milk made from starter culture by kefir seeds consist microorganisms such as Lactococcus kefiri, leuconostoc, lactococcus and acetobacter. Kefir milk that contains probiotics can support health and improve digestive disorders. Vitamin A contains retinol as anti-inflammatory and increases the lymphocyte. the effect of giving kefir and vitamin A milk to the lymphocytes in the blood of Balb / c mice diarrhea models and Immunoglobulin A (IgA) titers of diarrhea Balb / c mice. Rainy to know the effect of giving kefir milk and vitamin A on IgA titer and the number of lymphocytes in the blood of Balb / c mice diarrhea model This study is a laboratory experimental research by designing a post test only control group design study. The study sample was 20 mice of Balb / c which were selected by simple random technique into 4 groups for 21 days. Infection of mice using E. coli type EPEC ATCC 25922 Samples taken were orbital venous blood from Balb / c mice and ileum. Measurement of IgA titers using ELISA and lymphocyte measurements using Hematology Analyzer. The statistical test uses an independent sample test with SPSS 21 software. The results of the study found the highest IgA titers and lymphocyte counts in the prevention group. Based on the results of the study concluded that giving kefir milk and vitamin A when diarrhea can increase the number of lymphocytes in the blood, Giving kefir milk and vitamin A when diarrhea can increase the titre of Immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the small intestine.
