Abstract
Cervical cancer is a malignancy that develops in a woman’s cervix. The growth of abnormal cells on the cervix occurs over a long period of time, making the disease asymptomatic during the early stages. Cervical cancer is caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, and there are some predisposing factors that increase someone’s risk of having cervical cancer. This research aims to identify the correlation between the frequency of pregnancy and early marriage on cervical cancer incidence in Dr. Moewardi Public Hospital Surakarta. This is an observational analytic research with a cross-sectional approach. Data on 100 samples were collected using questionnaire, and correlation was tested with chi-square test using Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) 21.0. From the research we found that there is a correlation between pregnancy frequency and early marriage on cervical cancer incidence (p=0.000) with odds ratio of 15.333, meaning that people who are pregnant more often and had an early marriage were 15.33 times more likely to get cervical cancer. Keywords: cervical cancer, frequency of pregnancy, young marriage.
