Abstract

Flies to get rid of is one of an insect that habitually breed in a market and has a vital role to ahmad for the agency said the community. Flies to get rid of Musca domestica had a role as a vector disease in humans and in animals cattle which have the potential to cause diarrhea. Diarrhea and the residents are caused by bacteria bertransmisi through flies to get rid of as salmonella sp. and shigella dysentriae. Objectives of the study are to identify the existence of the bacterium salmonella sp. and shigella dysentriae on the common house fly (Musca domestica) in the market Legi, Surakarta. Research carried out in june in the laboratory microbiology Setia budi university, Surakarta. The house fly (Musca domestica) arrested, identified in aseptis using morphological character, then will be isolation bacteria by using media endo agar and salmonella shigella agar in order to determine the existence of bacteria in body parts flies. The research results show that, Musca domestica which had been discovered containing the bacterium Salmonella sp. and Shigella dysentriae.
