Abstract

Chinese ketepeng and soursop is one of the medicinal plants that can be used as an antifungal. Chinese ketepeng and soursop leaves are known to contain flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. The purpose of this study was to determine the antifungal activity of ethanol extract of Chinese ketepeng leaf extract, soursop leaf and its combination (1: 1, 1: 3, 3: 1) against Candida albicans ATCC 10231 This research method is an experimental laboratory. Ketepeng Chinese leaf extract, soursop leaf and its combination (1: 1, 1: 3, 3: 1) were obtained through the maceration method with 96% ethanol. The method of testing antifungal activity with the diffusion method. The results of this study indicate that all extracts have antifungal activity against Candida albicans ATCC 10231. Ethanolic extracts of Chinese Ketepeng and Soursop leaves in a ratio of 1: 3 are the most active ethanolic extracts as antifungals compared to single ethanolic extracts and a 1: 1 ratio combination, 3: 1. With a diameter of inhibition of 12.67 mm at a concentration of 50% and 10.33 mm at a concentration of 25%. Keywords: Chinese Ketepeng, Soursop, Antifungal, Candida albicans.
