Abstract
Nosocomial infection or what is now referred to as Health Care Associated Infection (HAls) is an infection that occurs in patients who are hospitalized for approximately 72 hours. The patient did not show symptoms when admitted to the hospital. Environmental infections are caused by bacteria from substances or substances that are not compound that are in the hospital environment, for example in humid environments. Types of microorganisms that often have the potential for nosocomial infections, namely Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. This study aims to determine whether the bacteria found Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus in the Isolation Room at Prof. Orthopedic Hospital Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta. n each Isolation room, four four petri dishes containing Vogel Johson Agar (VJA) and four containing Pseudomonas Selektive Agar (PSA) were presented. The exposure is carried out for 15 minutes and placed 80-100 cm on the floor and spaced 100-150 cm from the wall. Next, the petri dish is brought to the Laboratory to then be incubated at 370C for 24-48 hours. The results showed that Staphylococcus aureus was found in all three Isolation chambers, for Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria in the three isolation chambers there was no such bacteria.
