Abstract
Hepatitis A is an infectious disease that often causes epidemic in the world. hepatitis A usually spreads through oral fecal (contaminated feces from infected person of Hepatitis A virus ingested by another person). This study is an descriptive research with cross sectional approach. The subject of this study is the community (people) of the Bengawan Solo River living in RW 07 kampung Sewu. Data collecting was done randomly by using questionnaires and by taking the blood of the respondents for further checking of the anti-HAV IgM and IgG antibodies. The results showed that the environmental conditions of Kampung Sewu RW 07 is clean and the personal hygiene of community is also quite hygienic. Moreover, there is no hepatitis A infected people in Kampung Sewu RW 07. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between environmental and behavioral factors with hepatitis A incidences in the community of the Bengawan Solo River in Surakarta City.
