Abstract
Lactobacillus acidophilus is one of the probiotic bacteria and have benefical effect on human. Lactobacillus acidophilus have ability increase immune system induce the immunoglobulin A levels. Prebiotiks are foods that cannot be digested by the digestive tract which bring benefits to the host. Sweet potato have potential prebiotik because the substrate stimulate growth of probiotic bacteria. The aim of this study was to compare IgA levels of mice given Probiotics Lactobacillus acidophilus and Sweet Potato Prebiotik. The method of this research is experimental with post test only control group design. The sample of this research were 25 mice of Balb / c mice which were randomly selected to 4 treatment groups carried out for 14 days. Infection of mice used Salmonella typhimurium bacteria. The sample take was ileum secretes Balb/c mice. The statistic test used ANOVA with software SPSS 21. The result of the study be obtained levels of IgA higest in the group who were given the treatment mixture of Probiotic and Prebiotic and get the differences in the levels of IgA in mice were given the Probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus, Prebiotic Sweet Potato and the both of them.
