Abstract

Essence of drug management is one of the activities including planning fo procurement of storage and use receipts. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency of management in the general hospital pharmacy installation in the town of Kediri. Based on indicators of match between goods and stock cards, warehouse arrangement system, the percentage of drug expired, percentage of dead stock. Research using descriptive method. Research using drug samples with injection dosage form. Data collected in the form of quantity data from dokument observation. Presentation of data in form of tables and intellectual descriptions, descriptive analysis. All levels of drug management are measured by the efficiency level using the reorder point and turn over ratio. The resulth of the study showed that drug management in the general hospital installation in the Gambiran area of Kediri city is generally efficient. The use of ABC and VEN analysis can save usage value and investment value, thus making it easier for the finance departement to plan and control drug supplies and prevent the occurrence of drug vacancies that are needed by hospitals. Determination of the point of reorder point which is a condition where the drug must be ordere again, very helpful in maintaining the availabillity of drug so as to minimize stock out and over stock. Reorder point calculation gives a difference, so the procurement section does not always refer to calculations reorder point when procuring medicine. Based on the higt turn over ratio value of drug turnover in the Gambiran general hospital pharmacy installation is effective against drug use that needs high scaling.
