Abstract

Hospital’s drug management were one of the important hospital management especially in the selection and procurement stages. Inefficiencies may have a negative impact on hospital in both medical and economic services. Aim of this study was to analyze hospital’s drug management at the stage of drug selection and procurement at pharmaceutical installation of Kota Surakarta Public Hospital in 2017. This study used a descriptive design, data was retrospective and concurrent. Data were collected qualitatively and quantitatively accompanied by interviews. Data obtained from the selection and procurement stages and analyzed using indicator from Depkes RI (2008), Pudjaningsih (1996), Permenkes (2016), then compared with standards and other study results. Results from this study were, at the stage of selection, percentage of suitability of drug items with hospital formularies was 94.7%, the percentage of suitability of drug items with national formularies was 86.83%. At the stage of procurement, percentage of capital available with funds needed 136.05%, the percentage of allocation of funds for drug procurement 32.56%, frequency of procurement of each drug item per year, average 12 times drug procurement in the medium category, frequency of order correspondence with invoice zero time, frequency of delayed payment by the hospital against the agreed time zero time, the percentage drug items that were planned with the planned 84.77%.
