Abstract

Postterm pregnancies was pregnancies that reach 42 weeks or over 294 days that require appropriate treatment and indication of labor induction occured. Pharmacological induction method using uterotonic drugs misoprostol or oxytocin. The use of different uterotonic resulted in costs of patients varies. Aim of this study was to evaluate and analyze cost effectiveness of uterotonics misoprostol and oxytocin in induction of postterm pregnancy in dr. Sayidiman Magetan Public Hospital in 2017. This study method was descriptive observation using a cross sectional study design according to the hospital perspective. The data collected retrospectively. Evaluation and cost effectiveness analysis of uterotonics misoprostol and oxytocin using percentages, while cost analysis test using the formula ACER and ICER. The results of this study shown the pattern of uterotonics more often used was misoprostol (73.5%), the use of uterotonic is in accordance with hospital guidelines (96%), the use of uterotonic that successful (57.4%) and uterotonic misoprostol is more cost effective than oxytocin in labor induction with ACER value of IDR 57,350.50 and ICER value IDR -1,589.89.
