Abstract

Prolanis (program managing chronic diseases) consisting of Hypertension and DM. Controlling blood pressure and blood sugar is important, but the main goal of prolanis is to preventif and kuratif the possibility of complications and inprove patien life expectancy an quality of life. The purpose of this study was to analysis the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards quality of life with compliance to drug use as a variabel between prolanis patients in the community health centers Banyumas. The study used a method cross sectional and Multistage Random Sampling. The research instruments used were Hypertension Knowledge-Level Scale questionnaire, Diabetes Knowlegde Questionnaire, attitude of hypertensive patients and DM, New 8 items Self Report Morinsky Medication Compliance Scale and Quality of Life. The questionnaire was given to 400 prolanis patients, patients then analysis using path analysis. Conclusion show that knowledge and attitudes had a significant effect on quality of life with compliance as an intermediate variabel, for Hypertension patients with increased correlation values 0,07 and 0,50 (t-value 4,11> t-table 1,96). Then for DM patients with an increase in correlation values 1,75 and 0,60 (t-value of 5,94> t-table 1,96). keywords: knowledge and attitude, prolanis patient, medication compliance, quality of life
