Abstract
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is one of chronic diseases that may reduce patient’s quality of life, the purpose of this study was to determine patient’s quality of life and factors affecting it. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design. Data obtained concurrently and retrospectively. Materials used in this study were medical records, St George’s Respiratory Qustionnaire (SGRQ) and EuroQol 5 Dimension 5 Level (EQ-5D-5L) questionnaires. The subjects in this study were 88 patients with COPD was visited of Pandan Arang Boyolali Hospital. Processed data included patient demographic data were age, gender, comorbid and type of therapy were analyzed using Spearman rank. The results showed that there were problems with pain (88.64%) innEQ5D5L, followed by daily activities (87.5%), and anxiety (56.8%). SGRQ score were average symptom domain 56.70 (11.737), activity 51.24 (10.107), impact 49.94 (11.681) and average total score of SGRQ obtained 51.67 (10.405). Factors influenced patient’s quality of life were age, comorbid, and type of therapy (p <0.05). Keywords: Quality of Life, COPD, SGRQ, EQ5D5L.
