Abstract

The disease of type 2 DM reduce the quality of life patients in physical, social and psychological. The aim of this study was to determine whether were differences in QOL patients with type 2 DM at RSUD Karanganyar measured using the EQ-5D-5L and SF-6D and to determine were patient characteristics and disease characteristics affect the QOL of type 2 DM patient’s at RSUD Karanganyar. Analytic observational research with cross sectional design. Data colection through questionnaires and tracking medical records. Sampling techniques by accidental sampling. Measuring instruments used were EQ-5D-5L and SF-6D. The material used medical record. Processing data patient characteristics, disease characteristics, EQ-5D-5L utility index score, EQ-VAS utility index score, SF-6D utility index score. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 17 program. The result showed of 96 patients met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were differences in the QOL of type 2 DM patient's at RSUD Karanganyar with an average utility score of EQ-5D-5L 0.782, average score of utility SF-6D 0.775 and average the average EQ-VAS utility score is 0.715. Education and work affect QOL of type 2 DM patient's as measured using the EQ-VAS. Education affects QOL of type 2 DM patient’s as measured using the EQ-5D-5L.
