Abstract

The management of pharmaceutical preparations in planning and procurement needs to be done to ensure efficient, effective and rational drug safety and affordability. The purpose of this study was to study the evaluation of the planning and procurement of pharmaceutical preparations in Pharmacy storage of Public Health Office Kediri in 2017-2018 based on the Ministry of Health (2010) and to find out drug items that can be recommended for the planning and procurement of drugs for the next period based on the ABC Index critical method The research conducted was observational research. The analysis used were qualitative and quantitative analysis for planning and procurement planning in the Pharmacy Storage of Public Health Office Kediri. Besides that, ABC critical index analysis was also carried out. Evaluation of planning and procurement based on the suitability of available drug items with DOEN, percentage and value of damaged or expired drugs, average time for drug emtiness, allocation of funds for procurement of drugs, percentage of allocation of funds for procurement of medicines and procurement of generic drugs. ABC critical index analysis was processed according to calculations with the specified equation. The results showed that the planning and procurement of pharmaceutical preparations did not meet the standards for all indicators namely the suitability of available drug items with DOEN, the percentage and value of damaged or expired drugs, average time for drug emtiness, allocation of drug procurement funds, percentage of allocation of funds for procurement of medicines and generic drug procurement. Drug items that can be recommended for planning and procurement of drugs for the next period are based on the ABC method. The critical index is 33 drug items for the AIK group and 99 medicine items for the 2018 BIK group and 4 items for the CIK group drugs that are included in the vital drug group that must be in basic service facilities.
