Abstract
Bacterial isolates coal mine waste water can produce a protease enzyme, because there is a clear zone around bacterial colonies. This relates to the ability of the bacteria in the protease enzymes to hydrolyze proteins. The more extensive the hydrolyzed protein formed a clear zone will be greater and indicates activity occurring enzyme is also great. This study aims to determine the proteolytic activity of bacterial isolates coal mine waste water. Bacteria wastewater coal mine isolated and be identified, then the result of bacterial isolates wastewater coal mines to test the activity of proteolytic with diffusion method pitting using the media Skim Milk Agar (SMA) by measuring the clear zone around the existing colonies, to get the proteolytic activity, the diameter minus the clear zone diameter divided by the diameter of bacterial colonies bacterial colonies. The data obtained were processed with statistical Analysis of Variance method of the road Bacterial isolates coal mine waste water has proteolytic activity, among the five isolates were SMD3 which is gram negative and has a rod shape has the highest proteolytic activity by a clear zone around the existing bacterial colonies, in SMD3 proteolitiknya Index is 27,24 mm.
