Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a hyperglycemic disease that occurs when the body cannot produce enough insulin or the body cannot use insulin effectively. Chronic renal failure (GGK) is a disease that occurs after various types of diseases that damage the kidney nephron to the point that they are unable to function. The main purpose of this study was to determine drug use, the category of DRPs that occurred and the influence of DRPs with length of stay. This type of research is a non-experimental study with retrospective data collection using purposive sampling method, using a cross-sectional study design. Data taken in the form of medical record records of patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus accompanied by chronic renal failure and data processing carried out in a descriptive design. The results of the study categoriese the drug interaction had 34 events (48,6%), too high doses there were 27 events (38,6%), the dosage was too low there were 5 events (7,1%), therapy without indication there were 0 incidence, indications without therapy there were 4 events (5.7%). Identification of influence between DRPs with length of stay using SPSS, obtained Pearson Chi-Square value of 0.949, it can be concluded that there are influence DRPs with length of stay.
