Abstract

Crop belimbing Wuluh is one of the plants that has been shown to have antiOxydann activity because it contains flavonoids. The research aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the dosage of ethyl-acetate-belimbing Wuluh (Averrhoa Oxalidaceae L.). The selection of lotion preparations because of this dosage can be a skin protector of free radicals that can be caused by external factors, one example is UV rays. In addition, a lotion is an easy to apply dosage and easy to clean. Therefore, lotions are considered appropriate as a dosage to ward off free radicals. The ethyl acetate fraction of the leaf belimbing Wuluh is obtained by liquidliquid extraction method of ethanol extract 70% belimbing wuluh leaf which is then splined with a rotary evaporator. Lotion is made in 5 formulas where formulas 3, 4, and 5 each contain as much as 5%, 10%, and 15% of ethyl acetate fraction of the leaf belimbing Wuluh. Formula 1 is a negative control (without the active substance) and Formula 2 is a positive control (routine lotion). The Lotion of the antioxidant activity is tested by the DPPH method, as well as observed physical properties that include homogenity, coverage, adhesiveness, viscosity, stability, and pH. The results showed a fraction of the ethyl acetate leaf belimbing wuluh value of antioxidant activity of the ethyl acetate leaf belimbing Wuluh is 64.534 ppm. While the test results of the antioxidant activity of ethyl acetate fraction in the lotion shows the value of antioxidant activity Formula 3, 4, and 5 respectively is 1388.258 ppm; 713.737 ppm; 523.492 ppm. Test results indicate the difference in antioxidant activity of the ethyl acetate fraction of the leaf belimbing Wuluh before and after the preparation of lotion and after a 21-day retention period. __________________________________________________________________ ___ Keywords: fraction of ethyl Acetate, leaf belimbing wuluh, lotion, DPPH
