Abstract

Gendong temulawak herbal medicine is the most commonly used herbal medicine for the people of Indonesia. The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) in 2001 saw an increase in traditional use from 2000 at 15.6% to 30.2% in 2001. However, traditional health services as an effort to provide health services still need to be proven and considered side effects, especially if treatment is used by pregnant women. This needs to be considered because the incidence of mortality and morbidity is quite high and the effects of pricing for a long period of time on the mother and fetus. This study used 25 female mice (Mus muculus) which were divided into 5 groups. The first group was given cyclofosfaid injections 50 mg / kg BB mice, the second group was given aquadest as a healthy control group. The treatment group I, II, and III were consumed by gendong temulawak herbal medicine 0.26, 0.52 and 1.04 ml / kg BB mice. Gulong temulawak herbal medicine was given during the period of organogenesis, on the 18th day the mice were performed laparactomy to look for mouse mice. Biometrics observation, gross morphology and scetal abnormalities were carried out to see the effect of herbal medicine on temulawak gendong. The results of the research on herbal medicine can be carried by temulawak. 0.26, 0.52, and 1.04 ml did not show a significant difference with the control groups, whereas the cyclophosphamide group showed significant differences.
