Abstract
Hypertension is a dominant risk factor that causes chronic kidney failure. Decreasing kidney function affects the pharmacokinetics of the drug in the process of absorption, distribution, and metabolism. Previous research in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Yogyakarta in 2015-2016 occurred in cases of drug inaccuracies of 21.43% and cases of overdoses of 26.19%. This study was conducted to determine the accuracy of treatment around the dosage regimen and the accuracy of drug selection in hypertensive patients with chronic renal failure. The method used is a type of non-experimental descriptive research with data taken retrospectively. The sample in this study is overall medical record data of patients with a diagnosis of hypertension with chronic renal failure in Bethesda Hospital in 2017-2018. The sample used is the medical record data of hypertensive patients with chronic renal failure in Bethesda Hospital in 2017-2018 which is in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The results showed that of the 80 cases of antihypertensive use in hypertensive patients with chronic renal failure the results of the analysis of the accuracy of drug selection were 80 cases (100%) of the exact drug, the accuracy of the dosage regimen was 76 cases (95%) exactly the dose. Inaccurate doses of 4 cases (5%), namely in the case of dosing too high while cases of overdosing were not found in this study.
