Abstract
Gay is a term homosexuality for men, a gay person who has casual sex without using safety, will increase the risk of being infected with HIV/AIDS, thus affecting psychological well being. Psychological well being, which is related to what individuals feel in carrying out their daily activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of psychological well being in gay infected with HIV/AIDS. The study was conducted using purposive sampling techniques and qualitative methods with a case study approach. This study used 3 subjects who were gay infected with HIV/AIDS. Data collection methods used were interviews and observation. This results of the study illustrate that subject I has a psychological well being condition if psychologically and physically balanced, so it not easy to experience stress, subject II has a psychological well being condition when he has no burden of life, whereas subject III has a psychological well being condition if he is not easily stressed because of other people’s assessment of his life.
