Abstract
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) acute exacerbation is a chronic lung disease characterized by the occurrence of air resistance in the airways which is progressively nonreversible or partially reversible and is an acute event characterized by worsening respiration of patients from day to day compared to the previous day. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of treatment costs in patients with acute exacerbation of COPD in the inpatient unit of RSUD dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri who uses sefoperazon injection antibiotic therapy and cefotaxime injection. The type of this study was observational with a cross-sectional method using secondary data for the period September 2018 - January 2019 regarding treatment of acute exacerbation of COPD in 70 class III BPJS patients. The patient's age ranged from 36-65 years and geriatric patients. The effectiveness of drug therapy is measured by RR. The statistical analysis performed is an kolmogorov smirnov test than independent t-test. The results showed cefoperazon injection therapy was more cost-effective with a percentage of therapeutic effectiveness of 78.95% whereas cefotaxime injection was 65.62% the average total cost of cefoperazon injection therapy was Rp. 1.953.855,37 and cefotaxime injection therapy Rp. 1.921.249,59. ACER value of cefoperazon injection is Rp. 24.748,01 while injection of cefotaxime was Rp. 29.278,41. ICER value of Rp. 2,446.05 to get an increase in the effectiveness of healing acute exacerbated COPD patients. Cefoperazom injection is more cost-effective than cefotaxime injection.
