Abstract
Antihypertensive treatment in patients with chronic kidney failure requires a long time because it is associated with kidney function that is not the same as kidney function in normal people, so that adjustments are needed for drug selection and drug dosage selection. Abnormalities of kidney condition in patients affected by the action of drugs in the body, so that the selection of the right drug and giving the right dosage can maximize patient theraphy to achieve better results. This study aims to determine the accuracy of medication selection and dosage of antihypertensive drugs in patients with chronic kidney failure in RSUD Pandan Arang Boyolali in 2018 according to the standards of JNC VII, JNC VIII, Drug Dosing Renal Failure 2000. The study was non-experimental observational study, data retrieved retrospectively and data were analyzed using descriptive methods. The sample in this study was the entire medical record data of patients with a diagnosis of hypertension with chronic kidney failure in RSUD Pandan Arang Boyolali in 2018, according to the inclusion criteria. The results showed that from 32 cases of antihypertensive use in patients with chronic kidney failure, it was found that the accuracy of drug selection was 27 cases (84,38%) and 5 case (15,62%) inaccurate drug selection. The accuracy of the dosage occurred in 22 cases (68,75%) and 9 cases (28,12%) inaccurate dosage, which the dosage given were too high, while the cases of too low given-dose was found 1 cases (3,13%) in the study.
