Abstract

Carrot Seed Oil is an oil obtained from carrot beans (Dacus carota L.) in carrot seed oil is the largest content of carotene and also contains 66% of essential oils and sesquiterpenes. In Carrot bean oil (Carrot Seed Oil) The contained carotene can be made as antifungal, herbicide and insecticide. Processing carrot seed oil into micellar based water aims to eliminate the oily taste of carrot seed oil in order to become a facial cleanser that provides a comfortable feeling without alcohol content. The selection of tween 80 as a surfactant due to its unirritability to facial skin. Micellar based water is made of 3 formulas with variations of tween concentrations of 80 2%; 2.5%; 3%. This research uses methods of oil in water emulsion, testing done 4 weeks on the physical quality of micellar water tested including organoleptic test, pH test, viscosity test, stability test and using One Way ANOVA test. Results of research micellar based water carrot seed oil with a variation of tween concentrations of 80 as surfactants can be made a micellar based water preparation, and produce a good concentration on the tween concentration of 80 2%.
