Abstract
Urinary tract infection is a disease that is caused by the proliferation of microorganisms in the urinary tract. For this reason, the suitability and accuracy of antibiotic drugs selection is needed. This study aims to determine the characteristics of patients, profiles of antibiotic use and DRPs identification in UTI treatment in the Hospitalization Installation of RPH Ambarawa in 2017. The research method used descriptive and the data was taken retrospectively. The samples that were used were patients’ data that using antibiotics for UTI treatment in the Hospitalization Installation of RPH Ambarawa in 2017 that meet the inclusion criteria. The results of the research showed the distribution of male gender patients was 47 patients (62.28%), distribution at the age of 17-25 years was 22 patients (30.56%), the distribution of the hospitalization length for 3-4 days was 58 patients (80.56%) The profile of cefttriaxone antibiotics use was 68 patients (94.44%). There were 11 cases that experienced DRPs. The most DRPs categories were the drug interaction 90,91% and too high dosage 9,09%. Based on the evaluation of DRPs that have been done from the whole cases included in potential DRPs because there was no significant signs were found on the vital examination and the clinical condition of the patient.
