Abstract
Resveratrol is a very high antioxidant, but has a low solubility, so that with the development of the Nano Lipid Carriers (NLC) system, it can overcome the shortcomings of resveratrol. The NLC system has the advantage that the drug load can be higher, increase drug release and be stable in storage. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the variation in the concentration of oleic acid and the length of the solid lipid chain (myristic acid and stearic acid) and the best resveratrol NLC formula. The NLC system uses the active formula resveratrol made 4 formulas with the composition of the difference in the length of the solid lipid chain (myristic acid and stearic acid) and the variation of the concentration of oleic acid with the level below 0,1 level of the level 0,7. The surfactant used was tween 80. Physical characterization tests were carried out, namely the efficiency of adsorption, drug release and the antioxidant activity test. The results obtained by the length of the solid lipid chain (myristic acid and stearic acid) had a dominant effect on the increase in absorption and antioxidant activity, variations in the concentration of oleic acid had a dominant effect in increasing drug release. The best resveratrol NLC formula is formula 2 with a chain length of C18 (stearic acid) and the concentration of oleic acid at the lower level (0.1) has the highest antioxidant activity and drug release.
