Abstract
Along with the increasing number of Indonesian population, the demand for beef in the community continues to increase. To fulfill these needs, there must be efforts to prevent the disease in farm animals for good quality of beef. Helminthiasis is one of the factors causing the quality of meat that is not good in livestock. Helminthiasis is a zoonotic gut-parasitic worm infection. Types of worms that can attack cows are grouped into 3 types, namely Nematoda, Cestoda and Trematoda. Worms that attack cattle can come from one type of Cestoda, namely Taenia Taenia saginata and one type of Nematoda soil transmitted geohelminthes that is Hookworm. The purpose of this research is to know the presence of Taenia Taenia saginata eggs and Hookworm on cow feces and feces of cow cage cleaning officers in Radjakaja animal slaughter house, Jebres, Surakarta. The research was conducted in January-February 2019 at the Parasitology Laboratory of Setia Budi University. Sample faeces taken from 31 cows and 3 cow cage cleaning officers at the animal slaughter house. Sample examination with direct method and sedimentation method. The results of this study showed no Taenia taenia saginata egg found on cow's feces and 9.68% of feces of cow infected with egg Hookworm. Examination on the cow cage cleaning officers showed no eggs Taenia Taenia saginata and Hookworm. Keywords : Taenia saginata, Hookworm, slaughterhouse
