Abstract

Agglutination is a clotting of red blood cells caused by the bonding of antibodies with antigens in red blood cells resulting in a bond that cooperates several cells together. The degree of agglutination of blood can be seen at the time of blood group examination. Blood group screening has not been carried out for the washing of erythrocyte. The purpose of the study is to determine the difference in the degree of agglutination of blood group that is not carried out by washing against the inspected cell of erythrocytes. This study was conducted in January 2019 at the Hematology Laboratory of Setia Budi Surakarta University. The research samples are 30 students of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi Surakarta University. All samples examined the blood group rhesus before the cell of erythrocytes were carried out, the checked again after the erythrocyte cell was carried out by washing physiological solution. Data on the test results were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney method. The comparison of the blood group rhesus between erythrocytes which is not carried out by washing with erythrocytes, is a significant difference (value p < 0,001). The results showed a difference in the degree of agglutination of blood group examinations that were not carried out by washing cell leaching. Keywords : Blood Type Rhesus, Degree of Agglutinatio
