Abstract
Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. Transmission can occur if a person coughs, sneezes or spits, the TB germs will spread. New discoveries in Central Java indicate 2017 TB is 943 / 100,000 population, compared to the previous year there was an increase of 79 / 100,000 population. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of supervisors taking medication and to determine the factors that influence the success of TB treatment in Balkesmas, Magelang Region. The method used is based on sampling techniques by taking a total sample of 50 respondents. Prospective data collection using a questionnaire of adherence and the role of drug users. The data obtained were then analyzed using descriptive analysis in the form of tabulations and to see the relationship between the role of supervisors taking medication with the success of pulmonary TB patient therapy in Balkesmas in the Magelang region using chi-square. The results of the study found that drug administrators were 47 PMO families (94%) with an active role of 72%. Patient compliance in the treatment of compliant pulmonary 28% and 72% non-adherent. There is no correlation between the role of the drug-taking supervisor (PMO) and compliance with the success of pulmonary TB treatment at the Magelang District Public Health Center with a p value of 0.270 (p> 0.05) and 0.834 (p> 0.05).
