Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. As of 2018, this case is still prevalent in Indonesia. Central Java has cases in 2017 reaching 42,273 and has expected to increase in the following year (Indonesian Ministry of Health, 2018). RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen is one of the health facilities in Kebumen District which organizes TB treatment efforts. This study aims to determine the successful treatment of pulmonary TB in outpatients at RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen. The research design was used descriptive research with Non-Analytical Observational approach with Retrospective data retrieval. The population in this study were outpatients TB at RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen in 2018 with sampling technique used was purposive sampling. While the research tools were used in the form of observation sheets and the National Handbook for TB Treatment Guidelines. Based on the results of the research conducted, the successful treatment of pulmonary TB in outpatients at RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen in the first 6 months of 2018 was 18.8%. This figure was not in accordance with the National TB Treatment Guidelines Standard by the Ministry of Health where the minimum rate of success is 85%.
