Abstract

Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) are drugs that inhibit the replication of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The aim of the study was to determine the pattern of the use of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs), the suitability of the use of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) to the Hospital Formulary, and the rational use of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) that included the right indication, the right drug, and the right dose for HIV/AIDS in the poly VCT/CST outpatient installation at RSUD kab. Temanggung, towards the Republic of Indonesia Minister of Health Regulation No. 87 Th 2014 and treatment of ARV drugs. This research is non-experimental by collecting data exploratively. The population of this study were all recipes and registers in the poly VCT / CST outpatient installation at RSUD kab. Temanggung period January-June 2018 which were analyzed descriptively. Sampling was done by the propability sampling method and amounted to 116 recipes. The results of the study showed that the use of most ARV drugs was Neviral® with a percentage of 29.2%. Suitability of the use of antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) based on the Hospital Formulary is 100%. The rationality of the use of antiretroviral drugs in patients with HIV/AIDS in the poly VCT/CST outpatient installation at RSUD kab. Temanggung in 2018 based on RI Minister of Health Regulation No. 87 of 2014 and the Management of ARV at the RSUD kab. Temanggung includes the exact indication of 100%, exactly 100% of the drug, with the right dose of 95.8%. Keywords: Patterns of use, ARV drugs, HIV / AIDS
