Abstract

Asthma is a chronic disease that caused by respiratory tract inflammation. This inflammation makes the respiratory tract swollen and very sensitive. As a result, the respiratory tract narrows, causing a lack of air flowing into the lungs. The purpose of this research is to find out which asthma medicines used by outpatients at Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Wilayah Magelang. This research used descriptive methods that are non-experimental and the medicines prescription were taken retrospectively by looking at the patient's medical record at Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Wilayah Magelang in 2018. The result of this research, used medicines were Seretide Diskus, Ventolin, MDI, N.Achethyl Sistein, Glycerill Guaiacolas, Salbutamol 2 mg, and the most used medicines was N. Achetyl Sistein. Prescription pattern of asthma medicine at Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Wilayah Magelang 2018 was in accordance with the National Formulary. __________________________________________________________________ Keyword : Asthma Medicine, National Formulary
