Abstract

Caesarean section is a way of giving birth to a fetus by making an incision in the uterine wall through the front wall of the abdomen or vagina. One of the complaints felt by patients after surgery is the emergence of pain in the area of the former surgical incision. Pain is only a symptom, its function is to give a sign about a disturbance in the body such as inflammation, germ infection or muscle spasms. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of patient characteristics based on age and use of analgesic drugs in postoperative patients. This research is a non-experimental descriptive study with retrospective data collection including first control outpatient after cesarean with a sample of 124 patients who have met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that post caesarean section patients in the Obsgyn Outpatient Clinic of Tidar Hospital Magelang City in the June-August 2018 period were 124 patients with details aged 26-35 years of 66 patients (53.23%), patients over 36 years of age 42 patients (28.67%), patients aged 16-25 years were 16 patients (12.90%). The most commonly used analgesic drug is mefenamic acid in 98 patients (79.03%). Keywords: Analgesic, Caesarean section, Outpatient.
