Abstract

Enterobius vermicularis lives in the large intestine. This worm causes itching in the anus. The patient scratches the area around the anus, causing the egg to attach to the nail. Food held by hands containing worm eggs causes worm eggs to swallow, especially in children. This study aims to determine the presence of worm eggs and the percentage of students infected with Enterobius vermicularis worm eggs. Examination of Enterobius vermicularis worm eggs uses the Anal swab method and nail pieces. In this study, the population used was the B5 KB-TK MTA Mojosongo Jebres, Surakarta group of 219 students. Samples taken by 20 students. The results obtained by taking a sample of 20 respondents, the prevalence of Enterobius vermicularis as much as 0% and the prevalence of undetectable Enterobius vermicularis as much as 100%. This shows that 20 samples were not infected with Enterobius vermicularis with a percentage of 0%. Keyword: Enterobius vermicularis, Anal swab, Nails, Playground
