Abstract

Tartrazine is a type of synthetic dye that is registered or permitted by the Government used for food coloring and beverages. In addition to food and drinks Tartrazine is also used for cosmetics and medicines. The normal limit of tartrazine dye permitted by the Government of Indonesia based on the regulation of the head of the Republic of Indonesia POM Number 37 of 2013 concerning the maximum limit on the use of BTP dyes is 7.0 mg / kg for non-carbonated water-based drinks, including punches and ades. Whereas based on acceptable daily intake (Acceptable Daily Intake) 0 - 7.5 mg / kg BB. The qualitative analysis method used is paper chromatography. The mobile phase used is tri sodium citrate, aquadestilata and ammonia with a ratio of 2: 95: 5. While quantitative analysis using a 1800-shimadzu UV-VIS spectrophotometer using standard standard curves Value The maximum wavelength obtained is 426nm with a linear equation Y = -0.0544 + 0.0481X. Tartazine dye levels in the sample B = 2.02 gram / 100,0 mL and sample C = 0.63 gram / 100,0mL.
