Abstract
Cream is a semi-solid dosage form containing one or more dissolved or dispersed medicinal ingredients in the appropriate base material. This term has traditionally been used for semi-solid preparations which relatively liquid consistency formulated as an emulsion of water in oil or oil in water. At present the limit is more directed to products which consist of oil-in-water emulsions or long-chain microcrystalline fatty acids or alcohol dispersions, which can be washed with water and are more indicated for cosmetic use. This research uses "Standard Plate Count " method to calculate the total number of bacteria, the number of molds, and the identification method to determine several pathogenic microbes. The results of this study showed that the bleach cream sample obtained total bacteria in sample A = 2.1x104 colony/gram, Sample B => 300 cannot be calculated, Sample C => 300 cannot be calculated, Sample D = 3.3x102 colony/gram. The number of mold samples is A => 300 so that it cannot be calculated, sample B = 7.6x103 colony/gram, Sample C = 1.1x104 colony/gram, sample D = 4.0x102 cabbage/gram. From the results of the study there were no pathogenic microbes in all samples.
