Abstract

This study aim to determine the correlation between interpersonal intelligence with culture shock on college student outside Java. This research was conducted at Setia Budi University Surakarta. Measuring tools in this study used the scale of interpersonal intelligence and the scale of culture shock. The method for sampling was incidental purposive sampling. Analysis technique used Product Moment Pearson with the help of SPSS version 23.0. Based on result of research data. it obtained correlation coefficient (r) of -0,253 with p =0,20 (p<0,005) between the variables of interpersonal intelligence and culture shock variables. From the result of analysis conducted can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed in this study accepted. This means that there is a negative correlation between interpersonal intelligence and culture shock to college student outside Java at Setia Budi University Surakarta.
