Abstract

Antibiotics used was necessary in decreasing morbidity and mortality rate. Antibiotics used for prophylactic may prevent infections by 1-5%. This study, can be used to prevent surgical wound infections at DR. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta. 75 medical records were used in this study for both open and closed fractures of cruris surgical patients. Data of antibiotics used for prophylactic collected retrospectively from medical record with purposive sampling method and descriptive analysis used. Results of this study showed that antibiotic used was appropriate, using cefazoline, and the evaluation of accuracy obtained for right indication, right drug, right patient and right dose were all 100%, while corectly administration time was 86.6%.
