Abstract

Prophylactic antibiotics in cesarean surgery patients can reduce the number of surgical wound infections. This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of prophylactic antibiotics in the Kasih Ibu Surakarta Hospital in 2018. This research is descriptive with retrospective data collection. The study population was all pregnant women patients who were treated at the Kasih Ibu Surakarta Hospital in 2018 and the sample of this study were cesarean patients who met the inclusion criteria and the data was listed on the medical record card. Prophylactic antibiotics used in Kasih Ibu Surakarta Hospital in 2018 were 26 patients (13%) ceftriaxone, 140 patients (70%) cefotaxime, amoxycillin + clavulanate 33 patients (17%). The evaluation results obtained were compared with the SOGC Clinical Practice Guidelines and ASHP Therapeutic Guidelines obtained incorrectly 100% drugs, incorrect dosages 100%, timely administration of 1%, not timely administration of 99%, incorrect indications 100%, precise route of administration 100%, right 100% patient. Accuracy categories based on PPK and clinical pathways in Kasih Ibu Surakarta Hospital are 100% exact medicine, 100% exact dose, 100% timely delivery, 100% exact route of administration.
