Abstract
The green betel leaf containing such active as fungisid of kavikol and karvakol.Karvakol is a disinfectant and antifungal agent, so that can be used to drug an antiseptic in bad breath and whitish and kavikol also is. antifungal agentCarries metilsinamat, lengkuas rhizomes sineol, , camphor 8-pinen, galangin, , eugenol kamfor, galangol, seskuiterpen, kadinema, hidraten, heksahidrokadalene, yellow crystals, and its compounds asetoksikhavikol acetate (duro / galangal acetate ) that are as, anti oxidant and anti fungi. Extract green betel leaf ( Piper betle L. ) and rhizomes lengkuas (Alpinia galanga L. ) obtained from the maceration. A combination mouthwash tested the potential use of antifungal diffusion by comparison between lengkuas white than betel leaf green namely comparison 1: 2; 1: 1; 2: 1, 0: 1, and 1: 0 and conducted physical quality testing covering organoleptis, pH, viscosity, homogeneity, and stability. Mouthwash combination extract betel leaf green (Piper betle L. ) and rhizomes lengkuas (Alpinia galanga L. ) observed for 28 days has not changed the consistency and stable have not .Mouthwash the extract betel leaf green (Piper betle L. ) and rhizomes lengkuas (Alpinia galanga L. ) have activity against Candida albicans 10231 ATCC .Mouthwash comparison 1:2 combination extract betel leaf green (Piper betle L. ) and rhizomes lengkuas (Alpinia galanga L. ). The most active to hinder the growth of Candida albicans 10231 ATCC obstruent areas by as much as 19 mm , 18 mm , and 18 mm and rata-rata 18,33 + 0,58 mm. The combination of the two extracts is synergistic because there is a widening of the clear zone in the combination band test.
