Abstract

Malaria is a parasitic infectious disease by Plasmodium that attacks erythrocytes and is characterized by the discovery of an asexual form in the blood. Malaria is one of the public health problems that can cause death. Factors that cause failure in the prevention of malaria one of them is the fault of microscopic diagnosis of malaria which is a microscopic weakness. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the accuracy of microscopic diagnosis on the result of malaria examination in RSUD Supiori Provinsi Papua. The sampling method used is the probability of using a simple random sample. The sample was 50 blood samples. The sample was obtained from the result of examination blood sample of malaria suspect that has been examined by Laboratory Technicians of RSUD and checked again by Researcher and Cross Checker of District Malaria. Data analysis used to know the description of each variable is univariate data analysis, while to analyze the relationship of independent variable with dependent variable is bivariate data analysis. The results showed that there was a difference of percentage of positive samples to the number of samples, where the Laboratory Technicians of RSUD 50.00%, 18.00% Researchers, and Cross checker Malaria District of 20.00%. These results indicate that there are significant differences in the results of the examination between Laboratory Health Analyst Laboratory of RSUD, Researcher and Cross Checker of District Malaria.
